*In San Antonio, we found laughter over a street named Wetmore.
*Not only did we have 5 open containers of beer in the car when we were visited by Texas Highway Patrol, Amanda wasn't wearing her seatbelt in the passenger's seat. Nice. Thank God she has big boobs. ;)
*Right as we were about 6 miles away from McAllen, we decided to blast Twisted and have a good, ol' fashioned sing along. We? Love that song.
*We needed beer in McAllen, so Cay and I go into a corner store. We should've taken our mace with us, as I think we got molested three times while trying to buy an 18 pack.
*Random fans want to join our party with the H-Town crew– but we’re bitches, so that won’t work. One fan asks “Do you know the guys?” to which Crystasha says “Sure, we all date them from time to time,” as she walks over to get a beer. That chick’s face was freaking priceless. We are loud, crude, and pretty much socially unacceptable – which is why they ask us to leave at midnight.
*When we get to our hotel, we keep up the shenanigans in our room and finally try to go to sleep. It’s silent in the room, and we all start giggling and saying random shit. Jonica Lewinsky comes to mind…. OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!
*Did you know there is a KMart in McAllen?
*As we’re going 50 mph on a gravel path, I look to the right to see a ditch with water. “Look! It’s the Rio Grande!” It wasn't, but it was hilarious.
*By the busses, as we stalk - Crystal’s practicing her “Baby I Believe in You” opening dance, I’m leaning up against the fence, Amanda’s searching for the Jabbadonkeys, and Kristie and Cayden are just chatting away.
*As we’re walking to the room, haters are already starting to form their opinions. (That’s right – I saw you staring and whispering as we walked in. Whatever.)
*I think poor Jon Knight might’ve been scared into the fetal position if we weren’t all trying to hug him. And no, Jon, we weren’t drunk – we’re always this silly!
*Donnie spots the hats and gives me a high five (WTF – again?!) and a huge hug, saying he really liked them.
*Joe Mac’s up next, says he likes the hats, too, and something like “Whoa” when I go to hug him.
*Then I say “What’s up, Danny”, and managed to keep a straight face. We hug. He is scared.
*I turn around for pictures – and manage to squeeze in between Amanda and Joe. You can read Crystal’s recount for what happened here– but in summary, Joe Mac yelled “ANAL” in my ear, said “Gotcha” and I was history. Fell out laughing.
*I was standing with Melissa when she gave him the Texas flag boxers, and it was time for us to go. BUT WAIT!! This is when we all hand Donnie our cards with this very blog on it and he puts them in his pocket. Word!
*People everywhere? Loved our hats. Help me understand how a New Kids on the Block fan can ask us what the “B” on our hats meant? I told one of them in a puff-paint shirt it meant “Bitchassness”. Seriously.
*When we walked to our seats OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW-ing, there was a moment when everyone turned and looked at us. Sowwy.
*I can never express how I felt that they did “Call it What You Want” as the opener. I don’t have the words. As a Texas girl, that song has always been special to me (the video was filmed here in 1991) – and, like many others, I’m the girl in the black & white polka-dots you can see for a split second in the video. :)
*We danced, we jumped, we screamed, we laughed, we shook our asses – and we held our signs. I ended up with “Ladies Never Spit”, which was appropriate, considering my exchange with Joe Mac.
*I know – its rude to hold signs when you’re in the second row. And sorry. But I’m not. All you bitches in the 3rd row? Perhaps you should try to see the sunny side of things? You were in the 3rd row at a freaking New Kids on the Block concert. Enjoy it. Quit talking shit, because you were making us famous there at the end. Oh- and one more thing to our haters. We are not sluts or whores who want to sleep with them. We are a funny-as-hell group of girls who love to go to the shows and try to get reactions out of them. So no, I wasn’t going to hold a sign that said “Have Sex with Me” as one of you suggested on a message board. Bite. Me. OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!
*Can I just say that we OWNED Cover Girl? The Texas Ten (and Melissa our “plus one”) OWNED COVER GIRL IN HIDALGO!! From Donnie taking Amanda’s red B hat, him holding the “Donnie Get Naked” sheet, him asking us “Where the f*ck were you?”, him showing the Texas flag boxers… WE FREAKING OWNED THAT!
*And can we talk about the confetti for a minute? Those cannons shot off for what must’ve been a full minute. That’s a lot of confetti! Not only do I have pictures to prove it, but I think I have a pound of it in my purse. Everytime I go to get something out, I pull a piece of my Hidalgo confetti out with it and laugh. People must think I’m crazy. But I know the real story, and that is enough for me.
*The best part of the night, however, came back at the hotel. We were all outside, hanging with the Coochie-Coochie band, and they, of course, tell us we are too loud, but we can go to the lobby and drink. But – the 3rd row bitches talking shit were in the bar in the lobby. And we had our own beer. Bar manager tells us no, we can’t be in there with our own beer if he is still serving. We ask who he is serving – and you guessed who he was serving, right? He tells us that he was supposed to close an hour ago, so we say “Alright, what will it take? Cash?” He laughs and says yes, if we have cash, he’ll close the bar so we can come in. In under 90 seconds, we round up $100 cash and he closes the bar. Good Day to YOU 3rd Row Bitches! WE RUN THIS SHIT!! (Do I need to go into the Kentucky Whisky? Nah. I’ll save that.)
*The ride home was hungover hilarity. We all decide to wear our $395 NKOTB Painters caps (gay). At the Border Patrol checkpoint, he asks if we are family. “No.” Are you in a band? “No, we’re with the band.” New Kids on the Block? “Yep.” He steps back, laughs, and waves us through. Cue the OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW-ing, but add in some K-9 barking and that’s what you have as we pass through. Did I mention that the “Let’s Get This” sign that Joe Mac held during the show was in the back window?
*Stop at the convenience store – “Did you go see NKOTB?” Um, yes, didn’t you? “I thought they were dead.” And OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!! Right back at’cha!
*While it was fun, and I’d probably want to do it again, it would have to be with the same girls. It was a weekend I will never forget (especially since we’ve blogged about it!) – but those memories are just too much. So….. to Cayden, Crystal, Kristie, Amanda, Houston Jenn, Houston Amanda, Houston Kristi, Houston Sarah, Whitney and DFW Melissa (our plus one!)– let’s get it again, together, one day, shall we? OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!
